This project, which is of great importance for freight transportation between the provinces of Adapazarı and the ports of Karasu, constitutes the 1st Phase of the Adapazarı-Bartın Railway Line. The upcoming Karasu Port will provide an alternative route for the distribution of goods transported by sea from the Black Sea to Anatolia.

Starting from Arifiye Station in the province of Adapazarı and ending at Karasu Port, passing through a highly challenging terrain, the project involves 9,000,000 m³ of earthwork, 12,680,000 m of various ground improvement systems, 400,000 m³ of reinforced concrete construction, 50,000 tons of construction steel, 1 viaduct with a length of 500 m, and 190 small and large artistic structures along the route.
