It is located on Yoncalı Creek, 31 km north of Arguvan district, 81 km north of Malatya province. The height of the dam from the thalweg is 86.5 m, the height from the foundation is 93.5 m, and the crest length is 355.86 m. Yoncalı Dam is a rock-fill dam type with a concrete-faced front face and is being built for irrigation purposes. The project includes 2,300,000 rock fills, 2,500,000 excavations and 75,000 m3 of reinforced concrete production.
