Located 31 km north of the Arguvan district, 81 km north of Malatya province, the Yoncalı Dam is situated over the Yoncalı Stream. The dam has a crest height of 86.5 m above the riverbed, a foundation height of 93.5 m, and a crest length of 355.86 m. Yoncalı Dam is a concrete-faced rock-fill dam constructed for irrigation purposes.

Within the project scope, there are 2,300,000 cubic meters of rock fill, 2,500,000 cubic meters of excavation, and 75,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete construction.
